Ode to the Rainbows

You who rule the skies above
During the aftermath of the rain you come;
In the midst of everything as wet as water itself,
You stay firm with conviction at the dome.

Oh, rainbows, you are the rays of hope,
You signify the ways of pure optimism.
Even after the flood of problems you come
To glorify the joy amidst the despotism.

You who color the sky with grace,
Bring smiles to every person that sees you.
We cannot help but feel amazed,
As to why, when you disappear, we crave for you.

In the stories of long ago we found
Your story of how everything has begun;
Your beginning and presence brings back the time
When none of the proud colors won.

And now, every time we see you grow
From clouds to clouds your colors bloom
Of all the things high up the sky,
You, oh rainbows, are the brilliant heirlooms.
